Internet Principles                        

This course is aimed at non-technologist business users. It will provide a simple overview, or "big picture" of the Internet and World Wide Web (WWW). The purpose is to make trainees feel confident that they have sufficient understanding of the Internet to make basic e-commerce related business decisions, e.g. sourcing an ISP and domain name.

All trainees will have basic level IT skills and will be competent in both the Windows operating system and the standard office application software. 

Course Outline                        

The training will be entirely hands on and will cover:

  • Familiarisation with Web Browsers
  • Use of Search Engines
  • Use of News Sources
  • Up and coming technology changes
  • A topical practical exercise in internet research and reporting

All trainees will have basic level IT skills and will be competent in both the Windows operating system and the standard office application software. The course participants will have an operating modem and phone link.
